The NT Challenger Series is a tournament season held by TANGLED VENTURES specifically for the Northern Territory of Australia. It comprises a monthly ranked tournaments to determine the Top Players to be invited in a MAJOR end of series GRAND FINAL. ​

RULES, FORMAT & PRIZES

The IBC Game NT Challenger Series follows a DOUBLE ELIMINATION BRACKET, ensuring that all competitors have a fair opportunity to progress even after an early loss. All PRELIM MATCHES are played in a Best-of-Three (BO3) format, encouraging strategic adaptation across multiple games. The tournament culminates in an intense Grand Final played as a Best-of-Five (BO5), where the remaining finalists battle for ultimate victory.

Matches are conducted using the STRUCTURED EXPANDED gameplay format, as outlined in the official Gamer Guide (see page 13). Players are expected to be familiar with this format prior to competing, as it defines deck construction rules, card eligibility, and overall match structure to maintain consistency and competitive integrity throughout the series.

A unique CARD BAN RULE adds an additional layer of strategy to each match. After each individual game, the losing player may ban one (1) card that their opponent used in that specific game. This rule encourages dynamic gameplay, rewards adaptability, and prevents over-reliance on single powerful cards across a match.

The NT Challenger Series features monthly prize allocations for 1st through 3rd place, rewarding consistent performance and competitive excellence. Over the course of the season, players accumulate results, with the top four competitors earning a place in the Championship Grand Final, where they will compete for the title of overall series champion.​

Registrations for the NT Challenger Series will open up around APRIL 2026. The more ranked events you compete in, the greater potential you have in obtaining a Top Ranking and securing your invitation to the GRAND FINAL.
